February 16, 1982, WPRZ went on the air for the first time as 1250AM. This is a log sheet from this historic day!

In 1986, Darrell Fletcher installed the WPRZ call letters on the tower.
In 1987, WPRZ sponsored Harvest performed in concert at Fauquier High School
Children's program Kids' Time Live, hosted by Charlie Goode, Rick Houk and John King first aired on WPRZ in 1991.
WPRZ transitioned from AM to FM in 2010. The studios moved from Warrenton to Culpeper on Davis Street.
WPRZ is celebrating 40 years of radio ministry!... And we want to celebrate by celebrating you! - the listener - February 14th through the 18th during Love for Our Listeners. Be listening each day Monday through Friday during Praise in the Morning. At 10:30 8 songs from the Top 40 will air in a row. During the 11 o'clock hour we will ask to name certain numbered song on the list that just played the hour before. Be the first to call in with the correct song title and artist and win!
